I spent the morning at the Tabac Shop, where<br />
I met Bruno. He’s well known in Tredozio since<br />
he was and he’s still considered The Electrician<br />
in town. Once someone is privileging you by<br />
sharing personal words, you have to take the<br />
time and the patience to capture and memorise<br />
them. So I’ve been listening to Bruno talking<br />
about our Holy Mountain, which he knows<br />
because he knows Mr. Billi and the area where<br />
we live in. According to Bruno, the Holy Mountain<br />
is naturally sourced. The different layers of<br />
earth, clearly distinguishable even to the human<br />
eye, would demonstrate the natural stratification<br />
of sediments; which actually becomes<br />
smoother with the atmospheric agents. In contrast<br />
with this version, there is Saggese’s side<br />
of the story - another Tabac shop affiliate -<br />
who attributes the construction of the mountain<br />
to his own hands, by accumulating sediments<br />
from some previous excavations. More than<br />
seeking for truth, I am interested in the multi-<br />
narrative which, even if at times inconsistent,<br />
allows different interpretations of the same<br />
image, which is still possible to manipulate and<br />
redefine. The layering of personal and subjected<br />
narratives thus creates the legend, the myth,<br />
which keeps the place or object alive.<br />
For this reason, considering also the material<br />
collected in recent months, I wonder how it is<br />
possible to return it to the public while keeping<br />
its imaginative inception. These considerations<br />
will help me define the attributes of a flexible,<br />
